OOREENKOMS TUSSEN AGS EN DCMA
Op Sondagaand, 9 Nov. 2008 is ‘n historiese ooreenkoms in die Paarl onderteken tussen die AGS en die Instituut vir Dowes (DCMA). Hierdie Instituut het die eerste Teologiese Seminarium vir die opleiding van dowe predikante in Afrika daargestel.
Daar is elf meewerkende kerke en die AGS is die eerste wat die formele ooreenkoms ....

THE EMPTY PEW

Your normal place at church last Sunday was bare,
Your smile cheered no one in the needy throng;
Your voice said no amen at the end of prayer,
And none were edified by your lilting song –
Our souls are poorer since you were not there.
A sad reminder is this empty pew;
Your brethren and your God are missing you.
It’s instructive to read a familiar verse like Hebrews 10:25 in its context:
10:24 And let us take thought of how to spur ....
I THANK YOU, LORDJust this once, Lord, I want to come to You without problems,Without asking for anything, without telling you how to run my day,Just simply to say Thank You! For Your forgiveness when we fall...For the sheer joy of sleep when I’m terribly tired... For the silent strength of humility when pride over takes me...For the justice of Your laws when men are cruel... For the remedies for sickness when I am ill...For the simplicity of orderliness when I face confusion... ....
